Dear Rozana Mohamed,
Its ok Nana, making use of your love, passion, talent, experience and knowledge to be shared with all people from all over the world, does not require a dr., Professor, Associate Professor or 'contemporary artist' posturings like the one who is writing this. As usual, u humble my ego in your own special way. Wa caya lu Rozana.
Words are too tame and shallow to narrate or describe what you had gone through in realizing your 'dream'. You are the epitome of a 'silent but highly determined women who are progressive as she is also strongly rooted'. You are the flower of Lebuh Acheh, Penang, as attested by many people from many places around the world whose hearts you have touched. Your guest books have become a testament of universal love beyond forms.
You don't have to travel the world, because the world comes to you. You are a humble 'heartcore' artist who enjoys helping others (common folks from all over the world) searching and discovering the 'artist' in them.
Many people from all over the world, from all walks of life, young and old, have been touched by your passion to the art of hand-painted batik. Notwithstanding the alleged gentrification or 'hipsterization' of George Town, your little shop has become a global site with a local 'kampung' humility. For this, you have many friends, supporters and family members to thank.
For me, I'm just proud to b your number 1 fan.
