1989, Installating experimental set in front of the Creative Center (actually the parking lot) of the National Art Gallery Kuala Lumpur (old one infront of the Railway Station) for "Kotak-Kotak" an experimental performance. "Kotak-Kotak" was about, well......lots of kotak-kotak (literally and metaphorically) that surround and box our minds and feelings. In the picture, little Fauzin.
1989, interior set for "Kotak-Kotak" at the Creative Center, National Art Gallery, Kuala Lumpur. We called them 'kotak hitam', representing the dark-side of boxing human minds and emotions.
1989, the renegade Fauzin sitting in front of the 'news'. All the interior wall space were covered by torn newspapers.
1989, Fauzin (probably inside the box) performing. These creatures came out from underneath the stage floor (made of large cloth that covered the parking lot). Again, the picture orientation is done on purpose to show how 'tonggang-langgang' the production was (if not the people who designed the whole concept and set).
1989, Fauzin again, showing his drawing skill after he managed to free himself from his 'box'.
