ITS OK TO DISAGREE.

I found myself disagreeing strongly with some points in some of the essays in the recently-launched Volume 2 of the Narratives of Malaysian Art project, edited by Beverly Young and Nur Hanim. Some arguments can be contested. But of course, that does not mean that the editors and writers should be hated and taken as my sworn enemies. The difficult and tedious efforts to publish a confluence of diverging or contesting takes, thoughts, opinions, sentiments, interpretations in regards to the contemporary art practice in Malaysia, in a civilized way and in good spirit, should be commended and encouraged, not despised. Its okay to question and disagree, or not sharing similar 'neural patterns'. Its human to be so. Congrats Bev and Hanim.
